HORSEBACK RIDING

Trail Rides

2024 Season: June 15th – September 28th, 2024

Reservations for the 2024 season will open to guests staying on ranch on January 15th. Reservations will open for the public on May 1st.

Let Marce Hoffman, our long time Horse Operations Manager, and his professional, horse-loving wranglers show you why riding is a way of life out here. Under the watchful eye of Marce, our wranglers tend to 60-80 horses daily, assuring a quality ride for our guests. They each cover hundreds of miles during the summer and take care of trail maintenance all summer long so you know you’re in the hands of experts!

Take a ride through high mountain meadows or along the Gallatin River. You can see the Sunken Forest that natural forces created in 1959, not to mention a wide variety of wildlife including elk, deer, eagles, moose, coyotes, bears, and if you’re lucky, maybe even a wolf.

If you’re coming to see Montana, you really need to see it from the back of a horse…

Wanna Be a Wrangler

Whoa there partner! This fabulous activity is for our littlest buckaroos (ages 4 – 7)  who want to experience what it’s like to be a Wrangler at the 320 Ranch. An hour or so of roping, running an obstacle course with stick horses, and a quieter time of coloring horse pictures. The highlight of the day?! A special guest appearance from one of our very own Wranglers, introducing their Ranch horse and answering any and all questions!

Each child will be able to ride the horse for 5 minutes, a perfect photo opportunity capturing your buckaroo on horseback in the mountains of Montana.
At the end of our time together, each child will receive a “I rode a horse” sticker and horse coloring pages with a small box of crayons.

**a parent or guardian must accompany their child to the “Wanna Be A Wrangler?” if they are going to ride a horse.

(notes: a waiver must be signed for the child by parent or guardian, we must be notified if child has an allergy to granola)
