Big Sky, Montana , ________ 2006 … Montana is big and life here under the big sky has always been a bit extreme – it’s often lived a bit on the edge. Those that manage the conditions stay, even thrive and become a part of Montana mystique. Those that find the conditions too harsh pack up and leave.
The metaphor isn’t lost on the business environment. One either thrives or stumbles in today’s business climate. Like Montana, business is big - big investments, big risks and the potential for big success. Those teams able to effectively set goals, communicate them, and then make them happen can achieve big results.
Which brings us back to Montana. The seductive beauty of the place masks the fact that conditions here can get harsh without proper precautions, effective leadership and the right base of operations -- like the historic 320 Guest Ranch, which runs at precision pace with the effectiveness of a military operation. Wranglers, chefs, general manager, housekeeping, conference services & special events all work together like a well-oiled machine to create the perfect learning environment for teams to develop effectively.
Sometimes groups need to stretch further, however, to realize their true potential – put the team dynamic to the test. For this, 320 partners with Montana-based experts who know the challenges of the local terrain, and with national authorities in adventure teambuilding and leadership training, such as Operation Explore, www.operationexplore.com, which delivers cutting edge team development sessions; custom designed to maximize team learning. These sessions are delivered within the environs of 320 Guest Ranch.
Extreme learning sessions may involve white water rafting, a herd of horses with accompanying wranglers, or a small fleet of snowmobiles -- all to transport the group out of their comfort zone into the unknown for an afternoon, the night, or a couple of days. In this learning environment, teams and individuals challenge themselves to stretch boundaries, learn and apply new team skills and discover new methods of communications with their colleagues. In the process they get completely in touch with just who they are as persons, as professionals, as members of the team. Adventure teambuilding uses unique programming to neutralize every participant, leveling the learning field. It’s at this point that things get extreme and true learning begins.
Extreme Montana Meeting & Teambuilding Packages are available during the summer and winter seasons at 320 Guest Ranch. Base packages start at $275 per person per day (three-night minimum) and include lodging accommodations; breakfast, lunch and dinner; and seasonal recreational activities, such as Yellowstone National Park tours, horseback riding, mountain biking, whitewater rafting in the summer and dog sledding, downhill / cross country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Teambuilding activity pricing is additional, based on the programming scheduled. Add-on teambuilding / leadership training pricing ranges from $50 per person to $500 per person for multi-day programs with multiple group facilitators. Programs can be completely customized to the needs and requirements of each group.
